Discovery200 (Assembled) review
The Dagoma Discovery200 (Assembled) is a desktop 3D printer made in France. The Dagoma company is based in Tourcoing (France) where most of the 3D printer is manufactured and assembled. In september 2016 the Discovery200 has been replaced by the DiscoEasy200. An evolution pack is available to upgrade the Discovery200 in DiscoEasy200 for $89.
This 3D printer is based on an Open Source design (3D printed parts and firmware), which makes it easy to modify. The Dagoma Discovery200 (Assembled) does not provide natively a heated printing bed but can get one as an option.
The main characteristics of the Dagoma Discovery200 (Assembled) are the following:
- Build volume of 200 x 200 x 200 mm
- Maximum precision on z axis: 10 microns
- French software and online support
- 2Gb SD memory stick included
The Dagoma Discovery200 (Assembled) is a great fit for beginners who want to discover the 3D printing world with a cheap 3D printer, yet capable of 3D printing in a large variety of materials (as long as they are PLA based).
