FABtotum Personal Fabricator review
The FABtotum Personal Fabricator is a desktop 3D printer made by FABtotum, an Italian manufacturer based in Milan. This 3D printer has been replaced by the FABtotum Personal Fabricator CORE.
This machine offers a lot more than 3D printing and can be called a 3D multi-purpose personal fabrication device, or an all-in-one 3D printer. The FABtotum Personal Fabricator is indeed capable of 3D printing, CNC milling along 4 axis and also 3D scanning.
With an Open Source hardware and software it is possible to upgrade the FABtotum Personal Fabricator at will. It is quite affordable for such a versatile multi-tool combining the functions of a 3D printer, 3D scanner and a milling machine.
The FABtotum Personal Fabricator CORE version, unveiled in September 2016, brings numerous improvements on the hardware and software. Most notably: the Printing Head V2 and the Milling Head V2, both of which are compatible with previous Personal Fabricator versions and can be easily retrofitted.
