Stratasys Connex3 Objet260 overview
The Stratasys Connex3 Objet260 is a professional 3D printer made by Stratasys, a manufacturer based in the US. This 3D printer is part of Stratasys’ Design Series, a product lineup that is destined for designers and engineers.
The Stratasys Connex3 Objet260 uses the PolyJet 3D printing technology. The PolyJet process is similar to inkjet printing, but instead of jetting drops of ink onto paper, PolyJet professional 3D Printers jet layers of curable liquid photopolymer onto a build tray. The liquid photopolymer is then directly UV cured to create a solid layer. PolyJet professional 3D printers also jet a removable gel-like support material. The support material is called FullCure 705, and is a non-toxic, gel-like photopolymer.
The Stratasys Objet260 Connex3 uses a triple-jetting technology capable of 3D printign with dozens of materials and colors to obtain hundreds of composite materials with varying translucency, resistance, and colors.
