Resin washing
Resin washing is a crucial post-processing step in resin-based 3D printing technologies, such as SLA and DLP. After printing, parts are typically covered in uncured resin that needs to be removed to ensure a clean and detailed finish.
The process involves submerging the printed parts in a solvent, such as isopropyl alcohol (IPA), and agitating them to dissolve and wash away the excess resin. Proper resin washing ensures that the final parts have smooth surfaces and fine details, ready for further post-processing steps like curing and finishing.
