Defence Distributed Ghost Gunner review
The Defence Distributed Ghost Gunner is Computer Numerical Controlled (CNC) mill sold by Defense Distributed. This is not a 3D printer but it surely deserve its rank among them due to its compactness and simplicity of use. Like other CNC mills, the Ghost Gunner uses a digital file to carve objects out of metal.
The Defence Distributed Ghost Gunner can be operated with two different software: GRBL, an open source, general-purpose milling application, and DDCut, a Windows-only gun-milling program created by Defense Distributed. DDCut was tailor made for the ghost Gunner and is for beginners.
The Ghost Gunner also comes with the DDCut instruction file for milling an AR-15 lower receiver, shipped on a USB thumb drive in the box to avoid the legal implication of looking for the file online and download it.
