The Stratasys F170 is a professional 3D printer made by Stratasys, a manufacturer based in the US.
Stratasys F123 Series
The Stratasys F170 belongs to the Stratasys F123 Series 3D printers that also encompasses the F120, F270 and F370. The Stratasys F170 uses the Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) 3D printing technology, the registered acronym for Fused Filament Fabrication (FFF).
F170 main features
The Stratasys F170 offers a closed frame with a heated build chamber. For easier control the 3D printer is equipped with a large color touchscreen (which supports 10 languages). Auto calibration and easy swappable materials are also a nice plus. The Stratasys F170 comes with GrabCAD software for 3D file preparation and slicing.
The Stratasys F170 is fitted with 2 material spool bays, one for 3D printing the part and one for support located in a drawer on the front of the unit. This 3D printer is compatible with PLA, ABS-M30, ASA and QSR support material. For PLA the support is made from breakable PLA.
The F170 is very quiet and is office-friendly with a maximum of 46 dB during the 3D printing process (35 dB when idle).
