Modix MAMA review
The MAMA is an industrial FFF 3D printer produced by Modix, a 3D printer manufacturer based in Israel. The MAMA, also known as “Personal Car Factory”, offers a huge build volume of 2000 x 5000 x 1000 mm.
Other sizes are available too, starting from 1000 x 1000 x 1000 mm. The printer is aimed at both prototyping and production applications in a range of industries (automobile, boating, aviation, etc). It’s capable of printing several kilograms of material per hour thanks to its high-speed pellet extruder and high-speed filament extruder.
The MAMA (Modular Additive Manufacturing Assembler), like most Modix 3D printers, is delivered as a kit to be assembled by the user. This helps bring down the printer’s price and keep it affordable for SME’s.
