The Pollen Pam is a desktop 3D printer for professionals made by Pollen, a company based in France. The Pam will be available in 2017.
The Pollen Pam 3D printer is targeted toward professionals with its wooden casing and clever delta design. The 3D printing head is static and the build platform moves along 3 axis. The Pam offers a closed frame and a minimum layer thickness of 0.04 mm. The most interesting feature of the Pam is its ability to mix up to four different materials to 3D print objects with different properties. The raw materials are stored under the pellet form, a cheaper ressource than 3D filament, and more flexible in variety.
The Pollen Pam is compatible with natural fibers, carbon, minerals or metal particles and its extruder can reach temperatures up to 350°C.
The Pam can be operated through a web browser, once connected to the 3D printer by Ethernet or Wifi.
