MakerBot Replicator Mini+ overview

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is a small desktop 3D printer by Makerbot, a Brooklyn (USA) based manufacturer. Makerbot is now a Stratasys line of products.

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is the smallest 3D printer of the Replicator line of products. It replaces the Makerbot Replicator Mini Fifth Generation. The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ is 10% faster, has a 28% larger build volume, and is 58% than its predecessor. It also offers a new build plate equipped with the Grip Surface, optimized for better adherence during the 3D printing process, and easy to remove 3D prints when the job is finished.

The Makerbot Replicator Mini+ is delivered with the Makerbot Desktop 3D software. This software can optimize the 3D files before sending the instructions to the 3D printer. It is now possible to directly use CAD files, without going through the STL export.

The following file formats are supported: MakerBot (.makerbot), STL (.stl), SolidWorks (.sldprt, .sldasm), InventorOBJ (.ipt, .iam), IGES (.iges, .igs), STEP AP203/214 (.step, .stp), CATIA (.CATPart, .CATProduct), Wavefront Object (.obj), Unigraphics/NX (.prt), Solid Edge (.par, .asm), ProE/Creo (.prt, .prt., .asm, .asm.), VRML (.wrl), Parasolid (.x_t, .x_b).

The MakerBot Replicator Mini+ only 3D prints PLA.
