Nanoscribe Photonic Professional GT2 overview

The Nanoscribe Photonic Professional GT2 is an extremely high-resolution 3D printer designed for science and rapid prototyping in multi-user facilities and research facilities. Nanoscribe’s 3D microfabrication systems and solutions are based on Two-Photon Polymerization (2PP). 2PP is a key enabling technology for high-precision 3D printing of objects and structures of virtually any shape with submicron details.

How does it work?

The GT2’s high-precision hardware focuses a pulsed laser beam into a very tight region inside of a photosensitive material. An optical autofocus (AF) system precisely locates the interface between the resin and the substrate to accurately position the printed object. For fast and precise printing, galvo scanners move the focal point in the focal plane at a speed of hundreds of millimeters per second.

Nanoscribe DeScribe software

Nanoscribe’s DeScribe software ensures a straightforward workflow, from importing the CAD model to printing the object. The software also features predefined print modes that serve as well-balanced starting points for preparing specific microfabrication jobs. These print modes include a set of carefully tuned print parameters, such as layer and line spacing of the print structure, scan speed, and various print strategies that define an optimal laser focus path through the resin.
