The Leica BLK360 is a professional 3D scanner made by Leica, a manufacturer based in Switzerland. The Swedish company Hexagon AB purchased Leica Geosystems in 2005. This compact 3D scanner uses the laser 3D scanning technology to capture its environment in 3D. In addition to its LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) sensor the Leica BLK360 offers infrared sensors for thermal imaging and 360° cameras. These cameras can perform spherical imaging with HDR support and LED flash, which creates 150 MP spherical HDR images. It takes only 3 minutes to the Leica BLK360 to perform a full 360° capture. The Leica BLK360 is compact, light and wireless and is ideal for quickly 3D scanning complex environments such as shop floors or entire rooms. Because it uses the laser 3D scanning technology it is suited for indoor and outdoor uses. This 3D scanner can digitize up to a 60 meter distance with 4 mm accuracy. The Leica Geosystems Leica BLK360 has been developed in close collaboration with Autodesk, the CAD software editor. The 3D scanner is delivered with the Autodesk ReCap 360 Pro Mobile software, compatible with the Apple iPad Pro. The latest version of Autodesk’s software registers the BLK360 scans in real-time, wherever you are. Autodesk’s cloud services enable sharing, or easy transfer of data into any Autodesk CAD software for further use.
