The 3Dynamic Systems 3DS Omega Bioprinter (Tissue Engineering Workstation) is a 3D bioprinter made by 3Dynamic Systems, a manufacturer based in UK.

Bioprinting is the precise depositing of biomaterials such as cells, proteins, bacteria and bio-gels in 2D or 3D. This technology can be used as a tool in high-throughput applications, or to mimic biological systems that are more closer and accurate to the actual living systems for research, testing and diagnosis.

The 3Dynamic Systems Omega Tissue Engineering Workstation is a 3D bioprinter equipped with a dual extruder. This 3D printer is capable of generating heterogeneous tissues from a printable bioactive gel, protein growth factors and scaffolds which will later mature into living tissue structures.

The 3DS Omega Bioprinter is a purely digital machine can modulate its deposition speed to alter the layer resolution. Additional methods using multiple biomaterials can also be used to integrate printed tissues with 3D scaffold fabrication. Various hydrogels-based materials can be used for depositing a scaffold, including fibrin, poly (lactide-co-glycolide) which is porous, agarose and alginate.
