MarkForged Mark One Professional overview
The MarkForged Mark One Professional is a professional desktop 3D printer made by MarkForged, a manufacturer based in Somerville, Massachusetts (USA). This 3D printer has been replaced by the MarkForged Mark Two.
The MarkForged Mark One Professional was designed to overcome the strength limitations of other 3D printed materials. This 3D printer can 3D print strong composite materials. The MarkForged Mark One Standard can 3D print parts, tooling, and fixtures with a higher strength-to-weight ratio than Aluminum.
The MarkForged Mark One Professional composite 3D Printer has two extruders and uses the Composite Filament Fabrication (CFF) 3D printing technology. The first one builds Nylon parts. The other is a composite 3D print head and reinforce those parts with continuous fiber. The parts printed on the MarkForged Mark One Professional are up to 20 times stiffer and 5 times stronger than similar parts 3D printed using ABS plastic.
The MarkForged Mark One Professional is capable of using Carbon Fiber, Fiberglass, Kevlar and Nylon. This Professional version has an extend customer support and offers a lot of extras compared to the Standard version.
