ZEISS Optotechnik T-SCAN LV review

The ZEISS Optotechnik T-SCAN LV is a professional 3D scanner system made by ZEISS Industrial Metrology, a manufacturer based in Germany. In 2015 ZEISS Industrial Metrology acquired majority interest in Steinbichler Optotechnik GmbH.

The ZEISS Optotechnik T-SCAN LV is dedicated for 3D scanning volumes up to 35 cubic meters. For this reason even big objects can be scanned with the hand-held laser scanner.

The ZEISS T-TRACK LV is used as a master tracker and made to connect and track either the T-SCAN module and/or the T-POINT module. T-SCAN is based on an infra-red tracking while the T-POINT requires contact with the object being 3D scanned.
